(2/7/14) Four members of Coast Federation of Educators (CFE) plus CFE Staff attended the California Federation of Teachers (CFT) Leadership Conference Feb. 6^th and 7^th in Oakland. They participated in workshops, listened to several exceptional speakers, as well as participated in Q & A sessions. The conference provided our representatives with helpful advice and tools to build better communication from within CFE as well as with outside groups, and how to better represent CFE members.

Those who do not have State dental coverage may be receiving letters from Care Management Solutions (CMS) stating non-compliance due to the absence of dental cleanings.  If you are not enrolled in the State's dental plan, you do not need to complete the 2 annual cleanings.  There is no action that needs to be taken to resolve this issue; the letters of non-compliance are inaccurate for this situation and HEP compliance will not be impacted

COPE means Committee On Political Education. It is the AFL-CIO political support organization. Contributions to COPE are divided half to the State Council and half to Local 6025.
